How to Create a Subdomain in cPanel
Creating a subdomain in cPanel is a simple and straightforward process. Subdomains help organize your website by dividing it into different sections, such as a blog, store, or support area. For example, if your main website is tutorialwriting.space, you can create subdomains like blog.tutorialwriting.space or shop.tutorialwriting.space. Follow these steps to set up a subdomain:
- Log in to your cPanel account.
- Scroll down to the Domains section and click Domains.

- You’ll see a list of your existing domains. Click the Create A New Domain button.

- In the Domain field, enter the subdomain name you want to create, such as blog.tutorialwriting.space.

- Make sure Share document root (/home/…) is unchecked.

- cPanel will automatically fill in the Document Root, which is the folder where your subdomain files will be stored.
- Click the Submit button to create the subdomain.

- After a few seconds, you’ll see a success message, and your new subdomain will appear in the list of domains in cPanel.

- Next, in your cPanel dashboard, scroll to the Files section and click on File Manager.

- Open the folder shown in the File Manager for your subdomain. This is where you’ll upload your website files or install WordPress.
